Duo. Aziya

«Duo. Aziya» opened in 2017 on Rubinstein Street—St. Petersburg's main dining street—becoming the third restaurant of the Duo Band group after Duo Gastrobar and Tartarbar. The kitchen is run by chef Ilya Kolesnik, who describes his cuisine as pseudo-Asian: it doesn't claim authenticity, but respects the region's culinary traditions. The menu features Japanese, Chinese, and Korean dishes given a contemporary treatment, with Latin American and Middle Eastern accents. Ilya travels extensively across Asia, bringing back not the usual clichés but his own experience working with local ingredients and cooking techniques. The interior is done in a restrained black-and-white palette with marble and gold cutlery, and the walls are decorated with calligraphy by Pokras Lampas. The center of the dining room is occupied by an open kitchen, which is where guests' attention is mainly drawn. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to midnight, and on Friday and Saturday until 1:00 a.m. The average check here is 2,000–3,000 rubles, and the menu also includes separate dessert, wine, and cocktail lists. The restaurant is located on the second floor of 20 Rubinstein Street.
