Lado

«Lado» is located in Krivokolenny Lane, near Chistye Prudy, Turgenevskaya, Kitay-Gorod, and Sretensky Boulevard. The place was opened by Anya Pavlichenko and Stanislav Zakharov, the founders of «Lisitsa», so European cuisine here is paired with a thoughtfully composed bar menu. Cocktails at «Lado» aren't given names — they're numbered. Cocktail No. 5 is made with rum, cacao liqueur, basil, and Alpine herb bitters; No. 7 with limoncello, prosecco, and pink peach; and No. 9 combines mezcal, red wine, berry liqueur, and amaro. Among the starters, it's worth trying the homemade potatoes fried in duck fat, a bowl with avocado, shrimp, and lentils, or peccan tataki with creamy ponzu. For a more substantial lunch or dinner, the menu offers black bean soup, a brioche with marbled beef, and potato and sour cream vareniki. For dessert, they serve French toast with whipped condensed milk and cream cheese. The average check at «Lado» is 1,000 to 3,000 rubles.
