About

Pab Bryussel

«Pab Bryussel» on Vosstaniya Street introduces St. Petersburg locals to Belgian cuisine without unnecessary pomp. The place is located near Chernyshevskaya, Ploshchad Vosstaniya, and Mayakovskaya metro stations — easy to reach from any direction. The interior keeps a European austerity: leather sofas, subway tile, clean lines without ornamentation. The cuisine here is Flemish, hearty and varied. Mussels are cooked in fragrant broths, and the menu includes classic goulash and a Liège salad with bacon and green beans. Worth particular attention is the grilled veal with coffee sauce — a combination rarely found elsewhere in the city. Potatoes here become an entire story of their own: from silky mashed potatoes to signature pommes frites, served in a miniature bucket. For dessert — Belgian waffles, denser and sweeter than their Brussels counterparts. And to make sense of the extensive beer list, it's worth ordering the "Tasting Carousel" — five different varieties to sample at once. The average check at the pub runs around 1,500–2,000 ₽, which fits well with the format of a European gastropub.
