Jidai

«Jidai» is an Asian cuisine restaurant on Admiral Lazarev Embankment, 22, near Chkalovskaya. The project was created by the team behind the Meat Coin restaurants together with Alexei Kogai — a partner of Oshi Izakaya and Mendeleev Bar. The space is divided into two floors with different characters. The first floor houses an intimate dining room where omakase is served — dishes are prepared and served at the chef's discretion, with no menu selection. The second floor operates in an izakaya format — a more relaxed Asian venue with a wide range of snacks and dishes to accompany drinks. The kitchen is headed by Alexei Kogai himself, who previously worked at the restaurant «Sakhalin». The menu features Asian cuisine with a Japanese accent: sushi and signature dishes that reflect the chef's experience working with seafood and Asian cooking techniques. The restaurant's format allows guests to choose the visit scenario that suits them — an intimate dinner with a tasting menu on the first floor, or a more relaxed evening with snacks and drinks on the second. This division makes «Jidai» appealing both to those who want to try signature cuisine in an omakase format and to guests who prefer the izakaya format with its distinctive presentation and Asian bar atmosphere.
