Kharakter Kofe

«Kharakter Kofe» is a small coffee shop on the embankment of the Fontanka River, near the "Sennaya Ploshchad", "Spasskaya", and "Sadovaya" metro stations. It was opened by a married couple, and that shows in the atmosphere: children are welcome, pets are allowed, and no one minds guests who settle in for a while with a laptop. The approach to coffee here is thorough. Beans are carefully selected, cuppings are held, coffee is brewed using alternative methods, and various raf coffees are served, including an olive oil version. A particular point of pride is the nitro cold brew: cold coffee infused with liquid nitrogen, topped with a dense, creamy foam, its texture often compared to a stout. When it opened, «Kharakter Kofe» was the only place in St. Petersburg serving this drink straight from a tap. Besides coffee, the menu includes a "Breakfasts" section — sandwiches, cottage cheese casserole, oatmeal, homemade granola, and desserts. They also offer various types of tea, freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, and ice cream. The average check at the coffee shop is 700 rubles.
