Mishka

«Mishka» is located right at the start of Bolshaya Pokrovskaya, house 2, sharing an entrance with Coffee Cake. It's a small European-style pâtisserie focused entirely on desserts made in-house. The profiteroles here come out large, with delicate melting cream inside. Fondants are baked with liquid chocolate or banana filling, and cheesecakes are recognizable by their bright raspberry-pink top and soft curd base. A particular point of pride for the place is its puffs. Shaped like profiteroles, they're filled not with sweet cream but with meat or liver pâté. Prices on the pastries are modest — from 80 to 110 rubles apiece, which makes it easy to try several desserts in one visit. Alongside the sweets, «Mishka» serves coffee, raf coffee, cocoa, and tea. Worth special attention are the signature teas with unusual combinations — lingonberry, sea buckthorn with ginger, pear with rosemary. Drinks are poured into unusually large cups, which has already won the place a following among fans of long tea sessions. Besides food, the pâtisserie holds master classes for adults and children several times a month, teaching decoupage and coffee-ground drawing.
