U samovara

The restaurant «U samovara» is located in the very heart of Moscow, on Varvarka Street, next to Zaryadye Park. The cuisine here is Russian, but the presentation goes far beyond familiar expectations: the menu is built as a journey across the country in search of definitive flavors, where monuments and landmarks from Kaliningrad to Sakhalin serve as the backdrop for familiar dishes. All salads, hot and cold appetizers, and desserts are priced at 600 rubles, while main courses are 800 rubles, with the cooking maintaining restaurant-level quality throughout. The menu includes Pozharsky cutlets, braised quail with lingonberries and mushrooms, a casserole of braised beef with onion and bulgur, and a huge "mimosa" salad puck with salmon. Alongside these are dishes familiar from trendy restaurants: tuna poke with avocado, edamame, and chuka, langoustine sashimi in ponzu sauce, grilled Argentine shrimp with garlic and herbs, and Thai-style chicken fillet curry. Creamy burrata is served with tomatoes slow-roasted at low temperatures for 20 hours to concentrate their flavor.
