Kotelnaya

«Kotelnaya» on Lesnaya, 20, is a venue with history built into it. The space really was the boiler house of the Miussky depot, and architect Sergey Pokrovsky, known for the Denis Simachev Shop & Bar, preserved that memory: the walls still have their original tile, and the ceilings rise 15 meters. Beneath them is a VIP room where you can arrange a private party. Behind the bar is Marat Saddarov, known from Noor Bar and Bartender Brothers, and the cocktail menu was put together by Vladimir Zhuravlev. The kitchen is headed by chef Dmitry Pogorelov from Madame Wong, and his style brings Asian accents into a European menu: eel spring rolls with yuzu cream cheese, lemon shrimp, and teriyaki salmon with cauliflower. The average check here runs 3,000–6,000 ₽. The music program is scheduled by day of the week: electronic music plays in the bar every day, on Thursdays «Kotelnaya» switches to jazz, and on Sundays it hosts R&B parties. You can get there from Belorusskaya, Novoslobodskaya, or Mendeleyevskaya metro stations.
