«Ivan-Chaynoe Kupe» on Sadovnicheskaya Street transports guests into the atmosphere of a rail journey through pre-revolutionary Russia. The interior recreates an authentic early 20th-century train compartment: vintage photographs, maps and refined decorative details evoke nostalgia for the era. The 70 m² dining room seats 36 guests, and background music with the sound of clattering wheels adds to the journey through time. The cuisine here is European, Russian and fish-based, prepared according to original old recipes. Meat dishes are slow-cooked in the fading heat of the oven, and the desserts and sweets are made from natural ingredients without unnecessary additives. Inside the boxes of sweets, guests will find interesting facts and stories — a pleasant addition to tea time. The café's particular pride is its collection of Ivan tea (fireweed tea): more than 50 varieties from the owner's personal collection. These traditional drinks, familiar from classic Russian literature, are served as part of samovar tea ceremonies with tastings of old-fashioned Russian sweets. On Saturday evenings the café features live music. The average bill ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 rubles, and the café is easily reached from Paveletskaya, Novokuznetskaya or Tretyakovskaya metro stations.
