Reka

The panoramic restaurant «Reka» is located on the seventh floor of a building on the 62nd Army Embankment in Volgograd, with a view of the Volga River. The cuisine combines Georgian, European, and Russian traditions with a chef's own approach: the menu features khachapuri, fish soup, fried crucian carp pâté, and seafood dishes such as oysters and king crab. The restaurant's concept is to bring together reworked versions of popular Russian dishes, from the northern regions to the southern coasts, alongside top dishes from the cuisines of five seas. During the day, the restaurant suits business meetings and family lunches, while in the evening there is live music and an atmosphere for romantic dinners. On Wednesdays, guests are offered a men's set menu for 2,300 rubles, and on Thursdays, a women's set menu at the same price. The menu also includes an Aristocrat's set with dishes favored by the nobles and boyars of Tsaritsyn, as well as a traditional tea ceremony. The restaurant's brand chef, Alexander Akimov, began his culinary career in 2004 at a social canteen and trained as a cook in the army's cooking platoon. The average check at «Reka» is 3,000–4,000 rubles.
