The «Sladkoezhka» pastry shop on Balkanskaya Square in St. Petersburg specializes in signature baked goods and made-to-order cakes. The shop makes a raisin bun from puff pastry and pastry cream with raisins soaked in rum syrup, a cinnamon kraffin made from sweet yeast dough with layers of butter, and a "Choux Bun" pastry with whipped cream on a choux pastry base and crisp sablé. A separate focus of the shop is made-to-order cakes. A 1.5 kg chocolate-nut berry cake is made from chocolate sponge cake with layers of dark and light cream made with natural cream and ground hazelnuts, decorated with dark chocolate shavings, fresh berries and fruit. Making this cake takes 3 days. The menu also includes a lighter 1 kg version decorated with fresh strawberries, a classic Napoleon with berries and a choice of cream — butter, pastry, or whipped cream — as well as a strawberry cheesecake made with young cream cheese and curd cheese. For everyday desserts, you can choose the "Summer Basket" shortcrust pastry with French pastry cream made with milk and curd cheese, wild berries, apple and fruit jelly.
