Atele Tapas&Bar

«Atele Tapas&Bar» was opened by Timur Dmitriev and Mikhail Sokolov, separately from their restaurant group Italy Group. The place runs on Spanish rules: Monday is a day off, and from 4 to 6 pm a siesta is declared. During these hours the bar keeps pouring drinks but offers only simple bites — olives, pintxos, jamón, guacamole. A neon sign reading "No bad days" in the dining room sets the tone for the whole place. The terrace was inherited from the previous tenant, Beauty Café — with flower pots, a garland, and a sign that looks nothing like Petersburg. Inside, there are palm leaves on the walls, jamón stands on the cross-shaped bar counter, aperitif cocktails, wine, and cava. The menu is built around tapas: octopus with potatoes and tomatoes, machete steak with sweet potato. Everything except cold appetizers and soups can be ordered as a full or half portion — convenient for trying more dishes. For dessert, try the tres leches: sponge cake cubes soaked in milk, served in a paper cup — the portion is usually taken to go, since it's rarely finished in one sitting. The place is located on Lakhtinskaya Street, near Petrogradskaya and Chkalovskaya metro stations. The cuisine is chef's original creations, with an average check of 3,000 to 6,000 rubles.
