AF Brew Taproom

«AF Brew Taproom» was opened by craft brewers AF Brew on the site of the former Stepan Razin brewery, near Narvskaya metro station, on Kurlyandskaya Street. Here the brewery and bar are combined in a single space: production runs right behind the wall, and on Sundays you can join a tour and see the whole process with your own eyes. The place occupies two rooms. The first is red-brick, with huge display windows, done up in an industrial style: Corten steel, long tables and benches, old lamps and glass blocks. The second room is tucked under 19th-century arched vaults with neon lighting — parties and tap takeovers are held here, and sometimes football matches are shown. Half the taps are taken up by AF Brew's own beers — Redrum, Camorra and others — plus bottled beer. The other half is given over to brews from sister craft breweries from Russia: Zagovor from Moscow, Lovecraft from Krasnodar. For bar snacks, they took a less obvious route and focused on Indian cuisine. In the open kitchen, covered in Bollywood posters, two chefs work: Alan Parastaev from St. Petersburg and tandoor specialist Bulbul Mandal, who came from Kolkata. The average check here is 1,000 to 3,000 rubles.
