About

Vashche ogon

«Vashche ogon» is located in Samara at 81 Kuibysheva Street, in the income house of merchant Vasily Shabaev, who once opened the city's first tavern. This place with history continues the culinary tradition: it combines Israeli cuisine with signature dishes, serves burgers and steaks, and coffee is available to go. The brand chef is Mark Statsenko, who is also in charge of the kitchens of other projects by restaurateur Evgeny Reimer on this street. Meat, poultry, fish, and game are cooked over open fire using several methods at once — in a Russian wood-fired oven, on a Spanish josper, an Argentine parrilla, and in an American smoker. Cheeses, cured meats, and bread are made in-house, without using imported semi-finished products. Guests are greeted at the entrance by a wine cabinet holding 500 bottles — reportedly the largest in Samara — and the wine list is curated to pair with the restaurant's meat-focused menu. In the evenings, «Vashche ogon» hosts cover bands performing rock hits by Scorpions, Deep Purple, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, and Kino. The average check at the venue is 1,000 to 2,000 rubles.
