Skryabin

«Skryabin» in Samara occupies a steamship on Lesnaya Street, next to the «Kinap» entertainment center. The vessel is named after the agitation steamship from «The Twelve Chairs», and the whole atmosphere on board is kept in the spirit of that novel. After years of standing idle, the steamship is once again welcoming guests. The menu features open-fire dishes, shashlik, khinkali and pelmeni, pies and infused vodkas. The kitchen combines Russian, European, and Caucasian traditions: they make cabbage soup with mushrooms, serve salted pork fat and herring, and grill meat over coals. The average check per guest ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 rubles. The main advantage of «Skryabin» is its location right on the water. Tables with a view of the Volga are especially good in the cold season, when the scenery outside contrasts with the warmth of the steamship. The atmosphere of the place evokes the river voyages of the past century and the literary characters who gave the steamship its name.
