«Penalti» at 23a Marshala Golovanova Street is a bar serving Russian food and good beer. The menu includes solyanka, beef stewed with prunes, schnitzels, Caesar salad and olivier, eight kinds of pizza, and plenty of appetizers. Average check: 1,000 to 3,000 rubles. There are only three beer taps here. One pours inexpensive domestic beer at 100 rubles per half liter, while the other two offer pricier options, up to 350 rubles per half liter. About sixty kinds of craft beer are available in bottles, selected with real know-how. For spirits, there's moonshine, chacha, vodka, cognac, and whiskey, and for wine, Georgian labels — all at reasonable prices. The bar's interior came together without any single design plan — through the efforts of friends and regulars. On the walls are screens for match broadcasts, illustrations by Vasya Lozhkin, a photo of Kurt Cobain, and about fifteen hundred beer mats, a number that keeps growing: guests bring in new ones, and co-owner Andrey Vlasov sticks them on the wall. There are also fan scarves, a working Dendy console, and two guitars anyone can play. Smoking is allowed on the veranda, and in summer they grill shashlik there.
