Mazl Tov

"Mazl Tov" is an Israeli bistro on Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod, serving Israeli and Middle Eastern cuisine. The place started as a younger sibling of Saint Petersburg's Bekitzer and was created with support from its team, so much here will look familiar to anyone who's been to the original. The interior is designed to look like it's been around for a long time. The walls are deliberately aged — the plaster is chipped in places, revealing the brickwork underneath. The tables and chairs are mismatched wooden pieces without unnecessary polish, creating the feel of a lived-in bistro rather than a new establishment.
