Absheron

«Absheron» on Vasenko Street in Sormovo has taken over the space of the «Amsterdam» pub, bringing Baku cuisine to the venue along with a German brewery. The beer tradition here wasn't abandoned but continued and developed — so fans of good beer should stop by and judge the result for themselves. The menu features Azerbaijani dishes without compromise: bozbash, lamb dolma in grape leaves, ajapsandal, gutabs, and Baku-style khingal. Special attention is given to meat cooked on the mangal, and the highlight of the menu is saj, given a place of honor. European cuisine has a more modest presence, in the form of soups and salads, complementing the main lineup of dishes. With tea or dessert wine, they offer sets of Baku sweets and Eastern pakhlava cakes. For evening get-togethers, the restaurant has karaoke. The venue is easy to reach from Burevestnik metro station, and the average check per person ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 rubles.
