Zhön

«Zhön» is a café-waffle house in the very heart of Kitay-Gorod, on Yauzsky Boulevard. The cuisine here is European, with the main emphasis on waffles — they are the flagship dish of the establishment. The interior is done in a minimalist yet bright style and resembles a home kitchen at a friend's apartment. The dining room features a vintage refrigerator, shelves with kitchen utensils nearby, and simple, uncluttered furniture. Such a setting creates the feeling of dropping by for a visit rather than going to a café. Waffles at «Zhön»'s kitchen are prepared in several variations, one of which is called "Moscow Classic". The name of the establishment itself — short and catchy — refers to simplicity: "zhön" translates from Komi-Permyak as "simply," and this word precisely describes the philosophy of the place — a minimum of excess, a maximum of flavor in one dish.
