VKarelii Est

«VKarelii Est» is a corner with traditional Karelian dishes at the «House of Russian Cuisine» at VDNKh. The project by restaurateur Olga Belonogova is dedicated to the national cuisine of Karelia with its abundance of game, fish and northern berries. The menu features kalitki with vendace or wild boar, as well as the creamy lohikeitto soup, the famous Finnish-Karelian chowder based on salmon and cream. Dishes are prepared according to classic recipes, preserving the taste of northern cuisine with its concise set of products: various types of fish, game, berries and herbs. The corner can be found at the «House of Russian Cuisine» — a gastronomic space at Prospekt Mira, 119, bldg. 66A, near VDNKh. The corner format allows you to stop by for a portion of Karelian food on the go or take dishes to go, without spending time on a long lunch. The menu is aimed at those who want to get acquainted with northern Russian cuisine through its main, recognizable dishes — without unnecessary experiments and with an emphasis on the authenticity of the recipes.
