Sababa

Sababa is a Middle Eastern corner in the Gremm food hall on Warszawskoye Shosse, 150B. Here they prepare dishes from Lebanese, Israeli and Syrian cuisines, favoring hearty specialties of the region. For starters, Sababa offers hummus — in several variations at once — as well as baba ganoush made from baked eggplant and crispy chickpea falafel. Among the hot dishes, they cook a rich lamb and chickpea soup — a dense and warming dish for a cold day. Special attention deserves the pita with marbled beef patties: the meat for it is fried, and the fresh flatbread is filled with the stuffing right before serving, so the dish stays hot and juicy.
