«Ryba mechty» occupies part of the former Pyotr Smirnov vodka distillery on Balchug Island — a 19th-century mansion with history, spanning 600 square meters. The red brickwork, domed ceilings, and handmade stained-glass windows have been preserved in their original form, only slightly restored and complemented with modern details. The result is a space where old architecture coexists with a contemporary dining format. The cuisine here is mixed, with an emphasis on rare seafood that's hard to find at other Moscow restaurants. Chef Alexander Seleznev is always looking for new cooking techniques, and the menu is updated every week — guests discover new flavors regularly, not just once a season. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the restaurant hosts musical evenings with live performances by artists of various genres.
