RULE taproom

«RULE taproom» was opened by contract brewers Zagovor Brewery in Starovagankovsky Lane, near Biblioteka im. Lenina, Arbatskaya, Aleksandrovsky Sad, and Borovitskaya metro stations. The selection of craft beer here is carefully curated — both Russian and imported, including Danish styles that held high prices all season. There's no hierarchy among the taps — every style is poured on equal terms. The taps aren't just stuck into plasterboard here. Against a backdrop of black tile, unusual figures are mounted — a knuckleduster, a wrench, a microphone, a bust of Leo Tolstoy, a hockey player, an electric guitar neck. The bar counter is considered one of the most comfortable among Moscow's craft pubs — even in the evening rush hour, there's no crowding around it. Further from the counter, the atmosphere changes: there's an area with tables and chairs less suited for sitting long. But from the entrance steps of the place, there's a view of the graffiti on the wall of the former Rhythm & Blues Café — the wall depicts rock musicians of past years. Standing here with a pint in hand is a particular pleasure for guests of «RULE taproom».
