Popov lug

«Popov lug» is a traditional Russian complex on the shore of Lake Pleshcheyevo, not far from Pereslavl-Zalessky. It has a tavern serving Russian cuisine, and next to it lies a farm you can visit on a tour to see how life on a real farm is organized. The tasting workshop is visible right from the road — worth a stop for anyone passing by. Guests of the complex can stay in eco-friendly wooden cottages for a getaway from city bustle, enjoy a banya, and take in the Russian countryside in all its beauty. The place is open every day, year-round. Events are regularly held on the grounds: the historic boat "Fortuna," which takes part in the traditional water procession of the cross on Lake Pleshcheyevo, moors here, and themed evenings are organized for guests — for example, a musical bingo night in a 90s style. You can get to «Popov lug» via the Yaroslavl Highway through Pereslavl-Zalessky. After the traffic police post at kilometer 136, continue straight following the sign for Pereslavl-Zalessky, then after 3.6 km turn left following the sign for Botik and Nagorye, and drive another 6.5 km to the complex's sign.
