«OLIMPBET Lounge» on Novy Arbat has taken over the space of the former «Metelitsa» casino. The venue is large in scale: the terrace holds up to 250 guests, and the main hall will seat the same number once renovations are complete. The interior is built on contrasts and references to a Russian izba — carved window frames, mortars, and furniture made of rough-textured wood sit alongside light installations like running hieroglyphs. The heart of the restaurant is an open kitchen with two ovens, where Italian chef Massimiliano Montiroli bakes bread and puts together a menu of unexpected combinations. The menu includes raw appetizers, salads, okroshka, smelt, tacos with marbled beef, Bombay-style chicken, and chicken Kiev. The kitchen covers several directions at once: fire-cooked dishes, pasta, pizza, steaks, oysters, and Russian classics, with a separate cocktail menu offered alongside the food. The atmosphere is rounded out by the scent of palo santo and music from the duo Geju. Another hall with a large bar counter and a stage for musicians will open soon, designed by architect Natalia Belonogova. The average check at the restaurant is 1,000–3,000 rubles; you can get there from Arbatskaya or Smolenskaya metro stations, at the address Novy Arbat, 21.
