Gusyatnikoff

«Gusyatnikoff» occupies the mansion of merchant Gusyatnikov near Taganskaya and Marksistskaya metro stations, on Alexander Solzhenitsyn Street. The restaurant, run by Novikov Group, spans three floors and combines nine rooms: the spacious Paradny hall, the intimate Kaminny hall, a cigar room, a billiard bar, and a karaoke room. The interior is kept in a merchant style — aged mirrors, massive furniture, crystal chandeliers, and restored authentic parquet floors create the image of old Moscow. The cuisine here is Russian merchant fare with vegetarian, game, fish, and Mediterranean notes. The menu includes pirozhki and aspic, rassolnik with veal kidneys, blini with caviar, duck pelmeni, and stuffed cabbage rolls. For dessert, there's bird cherry cake, and tea is poured from a genuine samovar. The wine list is built mainly on Italian and French labels, but there's also room for wines from Crimea and Krasnodar. In the evenings, «Gusyatnikoff» hosts show programs: a gypsy ensemble performs, old romances are sung, and jazz and blues are played. The average check at the restaurant is around 3,000 rubles.
