«Corner cafe & kitchen» on Kompozitorskaya Street, 17 is the first restaurant in the chain, tucked away in the side streets off the Arbat, near Smolenskaya metro station. It's not easy to find, but the search is worth it: authentic Japanese cuisine is handled by chef Kobayashi Katsuhiko. The project was created together with restaurateur Anastasia Bukharova about 8 years ago, and free tables have been rare here ever since — it's best to book in advance. The menu features genuine Japanese ramen with homemade noodles, Japanese appetizers, and donburi. The bar menu deserves special mention, offering unique cocktails based on rare Japanese drinks. Desserts at «Corner cafe & kitchen» are made according to the season, so the flavors change along with the time of year. The average check at the Kompozitorskaya location is 1,194 ₽. This is one of three restaurants in the Corner Cafe&Kitchen chain in Moscow — the second is located on Novodmitrovskaya Street and has been recognized by the Michelin guide, and the third opened in the west of the city, on Vasilya Lanovogo Street.
