Bryus

«Bryus» is located in Bryusov Lane, near Okhotny Ryad, Teatralnaya, and Ploshchad Revolyutsii metro stations. The bar has no sign — it was opened by head bartender and co-owner of the secret bar Jack Rose, Gennady Silivanov — and the entrance can be found by looking for the door under the canopy with small lights, with no stairs down to a basement and no code buzzers. The bar occupies two floors. The first floor holds the main room with the bar counter and a separate tasting room, while the second floor has a small room with a balcony. The owners place emphasis on deep knowledge of alcohol: the bar offers a wide selection of whisky, as well as wine and beer. Gennady himself is often behind the counter, and the rest of the staff also have experience in the field. The kitchen at «Bryus» is headed by the Serbian Serge Markovich — a host of cooking shows and author of cookbooks who has lived in Moscow since 2005. He previously ran the kitchen at the restaurant «Dikoe more». The menu here is small and original, with noticeable Serbian influences.
