Staryy royal

«Staryy royal» has moved from the Novo-Savinovsky district to central Kazan, to 49 Peterburgskaya Street, bringing along its entire team and a genuine rarity — a 1913 Ed. Seiler grand piano. The gastrobar has settled into a 19th-century building that once housed the city's first wine warehouse. High ceilings, a spacious hall, a stage for musicians, a glass wine cabinet and a bar counter with a good view of performances — this is what greets guests inside. The menu features open-fire dishes, European cuisine, pasta and steaks. For starters, there are bruschettas, pâté and a set of cured duck breast with cheese, nuts, olives and sun-dried tomato, as well as fried camembert. Risotto is made with red or white wine. Among the hot dishes are ribeye, T-bone and filet mignon steaks, as well as dorado and flounder. The duck deserves special attention: tender, never overdried, it captures the very essence of the gastrobar. For dessert, «Staryy royal» serves house-made ice cream — made with cream and fruit sauces that are reduced in-house. Mango ice cream is paired with apple tartare, and for those who enjoy unusual combinations, there's rosemary ice cream with pine nuts and cured duck. The average check at the establishment ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 rubles.
