Maksimilians Kazan

«Maksimilians» on Spartakovskaya Street in Kazan brings guests into the atmosphere of true Bavaria. The beer here is brewed on site: behind a glass partition sits a mini-brewery with a 36,000-liter capacity, producing four signature varieties. The interior recreates German tradition in detail, and the menu is built around simple, hearty Bavarian cooking. Among the dishes worth noting are spätzle with bacon and kernebrot with smoked meats — classics of the German table. For larger groups, there's a meat platter for six: baked meat, breaded meat, sausages, vegetables, potatoes, and sauces all served together. On Tuesdays there's a promotion — order many of the listed items and the second main course comes free. The baked goods also deserve attention: pretzels, pies, cakes, and strudels are all made on the premises. For dessert, Bavarian cream made from whipped cream and an egg base is served. The average check at the restaurant is 2,000–3,000 rubles.
