Kabinet

«Kabinet» is located on Bolshaya Krasnaya Street in the Vakhitovsky district of Kazan, in the space once occupied by the café «Pitstsa dlya vsekh», which had operated there for 15 years. The venue opened in July 2016 and kept the small size of the premises, but completely changed the look: exposed brick sits alongside white plaster, wooden panels alongside minimalist lamps above the tables, and chairs with green leather seats evoke the offices of the 1930s. The kitchen is headed by Yulia Moskvina, who previously worked at «Nochnoy gorod», «Prazhskiy lev» and «Moloko i med». The menu includes salmon on a Viennese waffle with peach chutney, roasted pepper soup, borscht in Borodino bread with saltcellar, Berlin-style liver with apples, and carp fillet with French herbs and Chinese-style rice. Hot dishes are served with a side, which can be swapped — for example, rice for potatoes. Separate sections of the menu are devoted to fast food with burgers (with snail-shaped sausage or tongue and horseradish), pasta — carbonara with quail egg and spaghetti with artichokes — and pizza, numbered from one to three for ease of ordering. From Monday to Saturday «Kabinet» serves breakfast at an affordable price, and the business lunch changes every week, prepared from seasonal ingredients. The average check at the venue ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 rubles.
