«PatissonMarkt» is located right on the grounds of the Kaliningrad Zoo, at 26 Prospekt Mira. The concept centers on an open kitchen: about a dozen kinds of dumplings (pelmeni) are made in front of guests. The fillings are made from local products — sometimes berries, sometimes meat — but always with an emphasis on what's grown and produced nearby. The menu is billed as Russian cuisine, with an average check of 2,000 rubles. The farmhouse cheese platter deserves special mention — it's a permanent fixture on the menu. The far dining room has panoramic windows looking directly onto the zoo grounds, so you can combine lunch here with watching the animals.
