About

Neizvestnyy

Bistro «Neizvestnyy» is located in Yekaterinburg at 8 Chernyshevskogo Street, near the Ploshchad 1905 Goda metro station. The building itself is a two-story house from the late 19th century, the birthplace of sculptor Ernst Neizvestny. The project team restored it carefully: they preserved the double wooden window frames, the original decorative details, and a tiled fireplace, and repainted the walls white. The kitchen serves Russian and European cuisine, with an emphasis on shashlik and steaks; coffee to go is also available. The menu, developed by Vadim Tomilin, includes pastas, several kinds of tartare, chicken liver pâté with gooseberry confiture, ramen, and a special "unknown dish." It changes every week and never repeats. The average check is 1,500 rubles. In the courtyard, the bistro runs a separate semi-open space in the format of a record library, where music evenings are held regularly. The vinyl collection here is put together on a grand scale — from Rammstein's latest album to the cult record by singer MakSim.
