Ocean Basket

«Ocean Basket» in Dubai welcomes guests on the first floor of City Centre Mirdif, on Tripoli St. Here they prepare seafood in a Mediterranean style, with an emphasis on generous portions, simplicity and quality ingredients. The menu is built around seasonal fish: whole sea bass is served grilled with a citrus-caper sauce, deep-fried with a red pesto-based mayonnaise, or as part of a platter for one with shrimp, calamari and a creamy lemon sauce. Among the new additions to the menu are meze starters: halloumi, nacho chips with chickpeas and feta, and pieces of kingclip. In summer, fresh seafood salads are added — crisp and light. Besides the main menu, the restaurant also has separate sections for sushi, desserts and drinks. Ocean Basket began as a family story: two brothers set out to make seafood accessible to everyone, since it used to be considered a delicacy reserved only for the few. Today the chain operates not only in Dubai but also in other countries across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia. The menu offers dishes meant to be shared with a group — for splitting food with family and friends — and the restaurant also offers delivery and takeaway.
