Le Jardin

«Le Jardin» is the restaurant of the Raffles The Palm Dubai hotel, located on West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah island in Dubai. The Raffles name dates back to 1887, when four enterprising brothers of Armenian-Persian origin — the Sarkies family — opened a modest 10-room hotel in Singapore. They named it in honour of Sir Stamford Raffles, a British diplomat and botanist, the founder of modern Singapore. Over time the hotel grew into a Victorian-colonial architectural landmark and began attracting famous guests: among them writers Rudyard Kipling, Somerset Maugham and Noël Coward, as well as film stars Ava Gardner, Elizabeth Taylor and Jacqueline Kennedy. The Raffles brand came to symbolise impeccable service, where British etiquette blends with tropical luxury and Asian grace. This philosophy of hospitality became the foundation for an entire family of signature Raffles addresses around the world, each preserving the spirit of old-world charm and literary heritage — including the Dubai hotel on Palm Jumeirah, home to «Le Jardin».
