Barbar Business Bay

«Barbar Business Bay» is a Lebanese restaurant in Dubai, part of a chain whose history began in Beirut in 1979. That year Mohammad Ghaziri opened a small manakish bakery across from the Piccadilly Theatre, and the place quickly became known for its flatbreads with thyme, minced meat, and especially manakish with melted akkawi cheese and sesame. In 1986 the bakery grew into a restaurant chain, and branches appeared in various countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Barbar is still called the best shawarma in the world, and the restaurant's motto is "the taste of Beirut." At Business Bay, the restaurant keeps the same Lebanese and Arab approach to cooking.
