Arous Beirut Restaurant

«Arous Beirut» in Al Barsha serves Lebanese cuisine made from family recipes passed down through generations. Here, dishes are cooked the way grandmothers used to make them: makhshi is slow-stewed, and knafeh is served crispy — that's simply the only way this restaurant knows how. The menu features more than 100 dishes, from mezze to grill and desserts, and each one tells its own story of Beirut. Worth trying is the tabbouleh — fresh parsley with bulgur, ripe tomatoes, mint, lemon and olive oil, topped with pomegranate seeds. Or makhshi kousa — young zucchini stuffed with rice and minced lamb, simmered in a tomato-mint broth. Mezze here comes with labneh drizzled with olive oil and herbs, and warm sesame breadsticks. And for dessert — knafeh with crispy phyllo strands, sweet cheese, rose syrup, pistachios and dried rose petals. The restaurant is open 16 hours a day.
