About

Shirin - chay

«Shirin-chay» on Beyvelya Street brings together several cuisines under one roof: Azerbaijani, Uzbek, Caucasian, and European. Here they make khinkali, cook khachapuri, and grill shashlik. A restaurant called «Esmeralda» used to occupy this spot — the place changed its name, interior, and concept, but stayed true to Eastern dishes. The menu's signature dish is a saj hot pot. Chicken, lamb, or seafood with vegetables are served with vegetables on a large pan straight from the coals, and the heat keeps the dish warm all evening. In hot weather, it's worth trying the cold soup made with homemade kefir — it's just as refreshing as traditional okroshka. Homemade jam is served with the pot of tea here, and the plum version turns out especially well. The average check at the restaurant is 1,000–3,000 rubles, and you can find «Shirin-chay» at 6 Beyvelya Street.
