Asabi

«Asabi» on Lenin Avenue, 66a started out as Chelyabinsk's first Japanese restaurant. Since then the menu has grown considerably: the pan-Asian direction now brings together Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese dishes, with a chef invited from China helping to strengthen the Chinese side of the menu. In 2017 the restaurant redid its interior and revised its concept, while keeping and building on its Asian culinary focus. A signature feature of the place is dishes cooked right on the teppan: meat, vegetables and rice are prepared in front of guests. The menu also includes fish dishes, among them Kamchatka crab baked in sauce. The kitchen at «Asabi» covers a wide range of formats: it serves sushi, wok dishes, oysters and raw dishes, complemented by a separate cocktail list. The average check is 1,000–3,000 ₽.
